Description: The public health problems caused by physical inactivity, affecting both children and adults, have been seriously documented in recent years. These include the onset of numerous diseases, a reduction in life expectancy, negative psychological effects, and a decline in quality of life. It is estimated that health threats affecting nearly 500 million people by 2030 can be significantly reduced through increased physical activity. The global economic cost of health problems related to physical inactivity is estimated at approximately $47.6 billion annually. Despite efforts by international and national organizations to address this issue, initiatives remain insufficient. This seminar will present initiatives that should be undertaken by scientific organizations, such as universities, as well as examples for designing exercise programs from sports science for all ages, based on the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
